Breve bio.

Prof.  Wacława Starzyńska (born on 5.03.1946) is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Sociology (1968). In 1990, she obtained her postdoctoral degree in economics – applied econometrics. In the years 1992-2007 she was employed as a prof. extraordinary, initially at the Department of Statistics and Demography and later at the Department of Economic and Social Statistics, headed by it since 1996. In 2005 she was awarded the title of professor of economic sciences in the field of economics.
Since 2007, she has been employed as a full professor in the same Department at the Institute of Statistics and Demography.
Scientific and didactic interests: applied econometrics, economic statistics, quantitative methods in business, sectoral analysis, economic consequences of VAT, methods of credit risk assessment, analysis of the public procurement market.
Author / co-author or editor / co-editor of 17 compact items, over one hundred articles in national and foreign magazines, participation with presentations, in several dozen national and international conferences.
